     The soul also with Joe Tex, Otis Redding, Aretha, Solomon Burke, Ike and Tina…

     And especially by concerts: I had the chance to see Hampton, Bechet, Armstrong, Kid Ory, George Lewis, Sammy Price, Basie, Duke,

     Joe Turner (for the most notable).

In the sixties,

     the legendary tours of American Folk Blues Festival (not missed the only one) is a true revelation: Muddy, Otis Spann, John Lee Hooker,

     Sonny Boy, Koko Taylor, Champion Jack Dupree, Magic Sam, etc, etc…     

     Also Ray Charles, Howlin’ Wolf, Erroll Garner, Earl Hines, Willie «the Lion», Eddie Boyd, Curtis Jones, Clifton Chenier, BB King…

     Other discovery, the gospel, extraordinary concert with Reverend Kelsey, The Original Five Blind Boys…

     Also the Harlem Swing Dancers: Baby Laurence, Jimmy Slyde, Buster Brown, Chuck Greene, Illinois Jacquet, Milt Buckner…

In the seventies,

They arrived yesterday and last night I watched the Jack Dupree and Joe Turner performances which were fantastic, the Albert King and Lightnin' Hopkins which I loved, and the Dr John which was unbelievable. I never that so many perfomancfes had been shot of Dr John playing solo piano in the mid-80s. Tonight I plan to watch Jools Holland's piano and also many people on the third disc who I have never seen before. I also look forward to listening to Errol Dixon who I've never heard before. …Wow, that was quick! I can't wait to see the video. The Brotherhood singers are not only great singers, they are wonderful men. The all live near me, in a little community that is about a hundred years old but has been surrounded by suburban development, a mysterious and fascinating place where you seem to go back in time. They are all kind, funny, good-hearted men. When I first heard them sing about 25 years ago, I was immediately won over, and I have been following them around ever since then.
The next time you and your wife come to the U.S. you will have to come to Charleston.
